Don't you just love a pretty highchair?  After refinishing the first highchair I was hooked!  A vintage highchair is both a piece of history and a look into the future.  I cannot work on a highchair without wondering about the children it held.  Who were they?  Where are they now?  What have they done with their lives?  What sweet child will it nurture next?  Who will they become?  

A highchair generates an emotional reaction - the feeling of love for a new baby, the memories of our grown children as babies, the joy of an impending birth.  It is so much more than a pretty piece of furniture.

My mom once told me, "A dining room is not complete without a highchair".  I believe she was right.
